My investment career began in June of 1970 and
the following are some of the milestones:- 1970 joined John Hancock Life Insurance Company
- 1972 Became Assistant Branch Manager for John Hancock Life in the Santa Ana office
- 1973 Became the sales leader for all states west of the Mississippi for mutual fund investments
- 1973 Became appointed to a special, highly selective national level subsidiary of John Hancock Life called Professional Economic Services (PES), designed to offer an array of unique financial services to medical students and in practice physicians
- 1974 became one of the leading sellers of IRA accounts, then, brand new by virtue of the Pension Reform Act of 1974 ERISA
- 1976 Accepted a position as Assistant Western Regional Manager of Jackson National Life with a role of training agents and brokers from all companies in the sale of specially created investments for IRA Accounts
- 1978 Consultant with Far West Savings and Loan, Tustin Branch, for the installation of the then brand new Defined Benefit Keogh Plans
- 1979 Added real estate and trust deed investments to client offerings for selected portfolios
- 1980 Became an independent representative of Linsco Private Ledger offering the full spectrum of investments and services to retirement oriented portfolios including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, fixed and variable annuities, government bonds, GNMAs and Zero Coupon bonds, Real Estate income and development investments, venture capital funds, entertainment investments including Phantom of the Opera US Road Show
- 1990 became one of the first independent Registered Investment Advisors to utilize the new Charles Schwab no-load mutual fund accounts for portfolio management
- Instrumental in creating the Strategic Asset Management (SAM) account program, a no-load mutual fund investment advisory account for Linsco Private Ledger
- 1999 As Methodologist for Pacific Life, headquartered in Newport Beack, CA, reported to the Board as to the methodology of project and program management and software development in the organization
- 2005 retired to Spokane Washington and volunteerism in political operations and the arts; became Chair of the Spokane City Arts Commission
- 2008 returned to Orange County California to create a new, specialized investment firm, www.HighPerformanceYields.com, with the mission of educating and servicing investors and financial advisors in the use and application of the new and modern insurance company annuity features and benefits for the conservative portion of investment portfolios
